Well its that time of year again when you can feel that sense of change. The days are getting longer, the weather is warmer and the birds are chirping. To me spring is all about starting fresh, and just like our wardrobes our homes also need little perking up from the dark, heavy winter. So I wanted to give a few ways you can turn your home from warm and cozy to fresh and bright for the arrival of spring.
And like my husband says “don’t spend to much, you still have three more season”
So the first thing you can do is change out your pillows or just add some brightly coloured ones. Couches and chairs are expensive items so just changing your pillows can make a huge difference to a room and the furniture they sit on.
Second, change out your curtains. Get rid of those big heavy drapes that shield the winter away and brighten up the space with light. You can go light and airy with sheers or linen or try a pattern to add a bit of fun.
Third, add some greenery and flowers. bring some of the outside in. Thats why we love spring, cause we can finally get back outside and experience nature, so why not feel some of that inside as well.
Fourth, try adding brightly coloured wall art. This is a good way to add some colour to a room if your afraid of colour. It also makes a great focal point.
And last but not least, have that spring feeling from the moment you wake up till the moment you go to bed by shedding your heavy bed linens and blankets and go with a light airy duvet in white and soft silky sheets. Nothing says fresh and clean like bright white bedding.
I hope this helps, and have wonderful fresh, clean spring!
